The ZSC Lions, SC Bern and EV Zug are leading the league. Zug is on the third rank behind Bern and has an edge over Lausanne (4th rank) with 15 points! A huge lead over the other teams at the moment and these three teams will probably fight among themselves to find the regular season winner. Three NLA teams remain in the CHL and with that there will be three Swiss teams during the quarter-finals to fight for entry into the semi-finals. The Lions will face the Växjö Lakers, Fribourg will try to fight of Vitkovice and Bern will have to face Sparta Prague. The quarter finals will take place at the beginning of December and will again be staged with a home and away game each.… continue reading

The NLA shootout ranking

The shootout is always a crucial way to decide a game and every team has to face about 30 shootout attempts during a regular season of 50 games! This for example would therefore be about six shootouts with five attempts in average. These six shootouts in average for a NLA team would therefore decide for six points in the NLA standings! CH-L numbers

The four remaining NLA teams in the CHL have played the first leg of the round of 16 and nothing is sure yet! The Lions have lost in Lugano with a lucky one goal difference, Bern turned the game at home against Jyp and Fribourg tied the first game against Kalpa.
