Five points are there between the Tigers and the last playoff rank! Along side Kloten, the two teams are fighting for the playoffs and are struggling a little with their goal. Almost every team will meet the half way marker of this regular season tonight and some of them already have! After 25 games played we can already see a clear trend on what is going to happen to the playout ranks over the next 25 games. After the quarter-final defeats  from Langnau, Davos and Fribourg there are only two teams left that need to decide over their fate in this years Swiss ice hockey Cup. Kloten will need to face Langenthal in an away game and is looking to take positive energy from the victory against Bern from last Saturday. The NLA shootout ranking

The shootout is always a crucial way to decide a game and every team has to face about 30 shootout attempts during a regular season of 50 games! This for example would therefore be about six shootouts with five attempts in average. These six shootouts in average for a NLA team would therefore decide for six points in the NLA standings! Two teams, two new coaches. Ehlers and Huras are desperate for points and last nights game was the perfect match up to check on each others improvements. In the end, Ehlers and his team were able to take the victory in front of the home crowd and take additional motivation into the next game on Friday against Bern.
