After the quarter-final defeats  from Langnau, Davos and Fribourg there are only two teams left that need to decide over their fate in this years Swiss ice hockey Cup. Kloten will need to face Langenthal in an away game and is looking to take positive energy from the victory against Bern from last Saturday. After Heinz Ehlers had to leave Lausanne at the end of last season it seemed difficult to find a more suitable trainer than Ehlers it was. Lausanne has ended their season after the playout rounds on the 9th rank and has finished their season with 76 points out of 56 played games. With a 7-0 victory at home over HC Ambri-Piotta last Thursday, the Lausanne HC has ended their season and is save to play in the NLA next season. Unfortunately they were aiming to reach the playoffs this year, but couldn’t achieve this goal in this post season.… continue reading

The SC Bern has ended the playoff hopes for Lausanne, as they win the capital game at home with 3-2. The game was scoreless after the first period and ended tied at one after 40 minutes of play with goals by Nicklas Danielsson and Cory Conacher. In the fourth minute of the third period, Bern managed to get a one goal edge with a goal scored by Ramon Untersander, who added another one with an empty net goal near the end of the third.… continue reading

Tonight there will be an important showdown for Lausanne and Bern, as Lausanne needs to beat Bern in the Postfinance Arena in order to commence into the National League A playoffs! Lausanne has won 3 out of the five match ups this season and looks forward in increasing this stat tonight.
