After Bern had qualified for the final, there were only two games left to be played on this easter monday. Geneva needed to continue the away curse in order to stay alive against Lugano and Kevin Schläpfer wanted to add the third win in the playout final against Langnau in front of the home crowd. Fribourg should have been motivated, after winning at home last Thursday with 3-0 to cut the lead of Geneva to a 3-1 advantage. The game 5 of this series was staged in Geneva and gave Servette the home advantage. Geneva-Fribourg was the only series that still wasn’t decided, after all other series had been ended last Thursday.
