With 42 points won after 34 regular season games the team from Kloten is situated behind Davos on the ninth rank. After an outstanding start into the season, the team of Pekka Tirkkonen has dropped and there is no salvation in sight. Forgotten Nyffeler

Melvin Nyffeler started off his career in the National League A with an impressive start. After an injury of Lukas Flüeler, back in 2013, the young ZSC talent got a shot in net and played during eleven games and had an average save percentage of 96%! This should have been Nyffeler’s kick start into the National League A or even the NHL! The EHC Kloten lost yesterday evening to Davos in an away game. It is the third loss within the last four games and we @swisshockeytrolls were wondering if this could be the start of a losing streak. We were sceptical about Kloten since the beginning of the season, due to a low budget and rather thin roster it seemed impossible to reach the playoffs. After the fans of Kloten have been wanting Boltshauser in net for the following games after the defeat against Davos last Tuesday, Gerber was sent on the bench yesterday night against Ambri-Piotta. Boltshauer then left the game after a crash with Peter Guggisberg and today sport.ch is talking of a knee injury and that he will be missing the line-up for the following 6-8 weeks.
