Around 66 games are played in the NHL and only 16 remain in this years regular season! We have made an overview of all the Swiss NHL players, who currently play in the roster of a NHL team and have checked on their chances of reaching the playoffs. Check out, who has been on top of his game this week and who has been a flop in his team with our overview below.

Josi and Niederreiter in the Playoffs

Roman Josi an Nino Niederreiter are the only Swiss players, who are currently placed on a playoff rank. They both are placed on the wild card spot of the Western Conference and it is still not sure for these two players if they will make it into the playoffs this year. Nashville has got 78 points and is 6 points (3 wins) ahead of Nino Niederreiters Minnesota Wild. Minnesota is only 1 win (2 points) ahead of Colorado and needs to fight for every point in order to reach the playoffs! Mark Streit and his Flyers are placed behind the last Wild Card rank of the Eastern Conference and only need 3 points to keep up with the last playoff rank, which is held by Pittsburgh.

Vancouver, Calgary and Montréal with low chances

The Canucks are 10 points behind of the last playoff spot and Calgary is shaken off with a deficit of 14 points  in the Western Conference. For Sbisa, Weber, Bärtschi and Hiller it will be difficult to reach the playoffs this year, but nothing is lost yet. Andrighetto has got better chances in the Eastern Conference and is 8 points behind Pittsburgh, will Montréal be able to fight themselves back into the playoffs?
