Nino Niederreiter, Roman Josi and Mark Streit are already approaching 30 games that they have played for their NHL franchise. Some good efforts have already been seen by Streit, who is presenting himself in good fashion with already 15 scoring points added onto his account. On the other side there are the rather inexperienced players, who need to fight for every chance. The following players have just been given another chance to prove themselves once again!
Joël Vermin – Tampa Bay Lightning
The 24 year old attacker, who started off his career with Bern, is in his fourth year in North America. Until now he only has a total of 10 games played within the NHL. Ten days ago he got taken back into the roster to play with the Bolts of Tampa and has already scored two assists during his past four starts. This sounds promising, but still he will need to keep up his efforts to stay with the Tampa bay line-up. Adding to that there are rumours that he could return to Switzerland soon, if he doesn’t keep up his efforts in Tampa Bay.
Kevin Fiala – Nashville Predators
The 19 year old winger from Nashville, has returned into the roster of the Preds, after spending a few games down in the AHL with the Miliwaukee Admirals. He has already scored five goals and one assists during his 16 games with the Nashville Predators this season. It seems that he has gained the trust of his coaches and has already played a reasonable amount of games in comparison with last year, where he had his first 5 games in the NHL.
Sven Andrighetto – Montréal Canadians
Andrighetto has found his way into the NHL during last season, where he had to play in a total of 44 games for the Habs. The trust of his coach wasn’t confirmed at the beginning of this season, where he started off his season in the AHL with the St. John’s IceCaps and there he had to prove himself once again. Since Thursday, he is back in Montréal after having to switch between AHL and NHL already twice this season. Now he is in urgent need of results in order to prove himself. During his past five games in the NHL this season, he hasn’t scored so far.
Mirco Müller – San Jose Sharks
He already has a total of 11 games with the Sharks, which he played during the beginning of last season. His defensive abilities helped him to stay within the roster for a few games. He didn’t score back then, but still his defensiv abilities seemed to be good enough for the NHL, due to his size and game intelligence. Now the Sharks are giving him another chance. He hasn’t played so far but we are expecting him to return back on NHL-ice during the next few games.
