Congratulations to HC Ajoie, who has beaten the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in game 6 of the final series! HC Ajoie has deserved this championship title, after losing the first series puck in Rapperswil on last Thursday evening. Kevin Schläpfer and his team can now go into their vacations with no worries, as Ajoie doesn’t want to play in the National League A next season.

The game was won with a final score of 4-2 in favor of the home team. It is the first championship title for Ajoie since 1992 and is the third NLB title overall for the team from Porrentruy. A great example for a strong team in the National League B, who has finished the regular season on the fifth rank in the standing and has fought its way past la Chaux-de-Fonds and the EHC Olten in the semi final. Teams like Ajoie are important to keep up the quality in the NLB, even though there will be new farm teams from next season on, who will decrease the competition in the NLB.

Thank you Ajoie!
