John Fust has signed a one year contract with the EHC Visp and wants to relaunch a career that has started to tremble a bit in the past two years, as head coach of the U20 national team of Switzerland. With the U20 he has missed the quarterfinal twice and now wants to get back to success with the Lions from Visp.
John Fust has already been coaching Visp from 2007 until 2010 and managed to reach the NLB final once in his time with Visp. After his time with the team from Valais, he got to sign a contract with the SCL Tigers and reached the playoffs with the team in his first season in the NLA. After his second year with Langnau he got given the boot and signed with Lausanne as the assistant coach of Heinz Ehlers. Two years later he got to coach the U20 national team until this season. From now on he will return back to Visp and will try to regain confidence in his ability’s as head coach. He now has more experience, as he had in his first turn with the team and could be a good catch for Visp and we think that he could coach this team to success, due to all the experience he has gained in international and national tournaments.
