Sven Andrighetto had his first start for the Montrtéal Canadiens last night against the L.A. Kings and got to play for around twelve minutes. He had two shots on goal and delieverd two hits against the Kings with an even +/- stat. A good effort by the Swiss considering his lack of practice with the Canadiens. But it isn’t his first game of the Season, the Swiss already had to play ten games for the St Johns IceCaps (AHL) and scored a total of eleven points. This effort with five goals scored probably helped him to find his way back into the NHL.
Andrighetto, who had a tough time finding his way into the NHL, gained a lot of confidence from his coach last Season, with 17 points scored within 44 games. It is his third Season with the organisation in Montréal and he is looking to stay there, as his previous efforts brought him a contract extension of one year. It will be Andrighetto’s chance to prove himself once again to maintain his position in the NHL.
